Semen Inventory Entry

ENTERING SEMEN INVENTORY

Note: Animal must already have a record in VAMPP. If this is a new animal please refer to FAQ page Animal ID - New - Male.

To enter new semen inventory into VAMPP:

1. Go to Entries: Semen Inventory.
2. Identify the bull you purchased semen from (ie: Aerostar) by typing his number and pressing the <tab> key or highlighting the number and double clicking your mouse
3. Enter the freeze date or batch number of semen (ie: 150499) and press <tab>
4. Enter the number of doses of semen you purchased and press <tab>
5. In the young sire field select if the semen is from a young sire yes or no. <tab>
6. The remainder of the fields are optional - they may be filled in but do not have to.
7. Enter semen location <tab>
8. Enter Purchase date <tab>
9. Enter price<tab>
10. Enter certificate number if available <tab>
11. Enter rebate expiry date if applicable <tab>
12. Enter AI Unit Accredation Code if applicable <tab>
13. Save data by clicking on the save button (2nd icon from left) or pressing the F9 key.
